web con accesibilidad

The Internet has emerged as an integral part of human society. Access to the Internet to a large extent decides whether or not one can fully participate in the increasingly turbulent and networked world. However, while the portion of people with disabilities in the society has been increasing, organizations have paid little attention to their needs when planning and implementing Web projects.

The Web Accessibility Service (http://enable.nat.gov.tw/eng/index.html) is a comprehensive web accessibility portal established by the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission, Executive Yuan to help expose and repair barriers to Web accessibility. It's examination tool tests webpages as well as Websites on-line using the guidelines established by the Executive Yuan, adapted from the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

The Web Accessibility Service also serves as the information center in Taiwan on related initiatives. Above all, the Web Accessibility Service is committed to making the websites in Taiwan accessible to all users and welcomes comments or suggestions on Web access improvements.
