In celebration of Immigrant Heritage Week, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York (TECO-NY) invites you to join our online bingo game from April 11-17 to discover elements of Taiwanese heritage throughout the city and in our everyday lives.
Today, approximately 150,000 Taiwanese call the Greater New York area home, and they have brought their fair share of influence to the Big Apple!
From yummy bubble tea to innovative electronics brands, explore New York City and see how many Taiwanese elements you can cross off your bingo card. Snap pictures and share them with us by messaging @TaiwanInNewYork on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Those who cross off at least one row will be eligible to enter our lucky draw and win Taiwan-themed prizes!
We’ll be dropping hints every now and then this week on our social media to help you find elements of Taiwanese heritage in New York City. Are you ready to go out on a NYC-Taiwan hunt? We want to hear you say BINGO!
How to play
Find the elements of Taiwanese heritage listed on the Taiwan Bingo card. Snap one photo for every element found. Once you’ve collected as many as you can to cross off at least one row, share the photos with us by private messaging @TaiwanInNewYork on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
What do I win?
If you manage to cross off at least one row, you have yourself a Taiwan Bingo and are automatically entered in TECO-NY’s lucky draw for a Taiwan-themed Bingo Prize. If you manage to cross off ALL the rows, you have a Taiwan Grand Slam and will also be automatically entered in the lucky draw for the Grand Slam Prize. We will randomly draw 10 winners in total who will win prizes consisting of OCAC’s Taiwan Bear Care Pack, trendy souvenirs from Taiwan, and traditional Taiwanese snacks for the Ultimate Grand Slam Prize (1), Grand Slam Prizes (2), and Bingo Prizes (7).
Rules
- This event is held in celebration of NYC Immigrant Heritage Week and is only open to New York residents.
- You cannot reuse the same photo or object for different elements, even though the photo or object might qualify for more than one category.
- Please only send us original photos that you took yourself: do not use photographs from others or photos that you found on the internet. Using photos other than your own can result in a copyright violation. TECO-NY will not be responsible for any copyright infringement allegations filed against Taiwan Bingo participants. TECO-NY has the right to disqualify any participant who is suspected of an intellectual property rights violation.
- Those eligible to enter the draw for the Ultimate Grand Slam Prize and Grand Slam Prizes will automatically be granted eligibility to enter the Bingo Prize draw if their names were not picked during the Ultimate Grand Slam Prize and Grand Slam Prize draws.
- TECO-NY reserves the right to cease or change the rules for Taiwan Bingo: Taiwanese Heritage in NYC at its sole discretion.
